I know it’s been a while… I’ve been overwhelmed by the thought of posting all the photos. I should take it one place/day at a time I suppose. So here is our first day.
Wednesday Jocelyn had a revision on her stump to remove the broken bone and reshape the bone it came from. The surgery went very well. We were on our way home a couple hours after the surgery.
Very cranky and a little rough. Who wouldn’t be.
She threw up her breakfast….last night. Poor thing was nauseous all day from meds. She slept well the last two nights though. Even with waking her up every 4hrs to give her the meds. 6:30 this morning she said very happily “mommy my leg doesn’t hurt”. Hopefully she has a better day today. ♥
Jocelyn has been feeling wonderful and eating great since we took her off the pills that were making her sick. One of the side effects. She seems to have more spunk than she had before! Only complains of pain in her leg when she is upright and the pressure rushes to the end of her stump. It has been a wonderful 3 days overall!
>She will be getting fit for a brace this week. One that she wears when she doesn’t have her prosthetic on, that will help avoid damage caused by the bumps and such of being an active 4 year old.
